About the Artist

37674796_10211112175911480_297734782295474176_nHumanity and life is the heartbeat of my photography and writing.  My inspiration and passion for life is found within my connection and relationship with people, music, books, photography, poetry, philosophy, art, films, world culture, travel and cooking.  These all feed my mind, heart, soul and creativity — translates through my craft — reflected within my work.

Born and bred in New York — New York City inspires me as an artist with all its culture, character, color and charm. With the energy and excitement throughout the City, life in New York is something to be seen, felt and experienced. As a photographer, I love capturing that emotion and energy on camera. Connecting to my subjects. What I see and feel. What they see and feel. Stories through imagery.  Most of my work is concentrated on musicians and architecture.   I capture the magic with my Canon EOS Rebel T5.  It’s my baby — my pride and joy.  We have this relationship — a chemistry.

Among photographers, I love the works of Robert Doisneau, Jacques-Henri Lartigue, Herb Ritts, Annie Leibovitz, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Sebastião Salgado, João Silva, Robert Capa, Dorothea Lange, Rankin, and Willy Ronis.

Among writers, poets and philosophers, I love the works of Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, William Shakespeare, Rainer Maria Rilke, Maurice Blanchot, Lao Tzu, Rumi, e.e. cummings, Arthur Rimbaud, Marcel Proust, Kurt Vonnegut, Stéphane Mallarmé, Sebastian Junger (journalist and author), Charles Bukowski, W.H. Auden, T. S. Eliot, Carson McCullers, and Tennessee Williams.
