Humanity and life, in all of its true forms, is the heartbeat of my photography and writing. My passion for life and living it to its fullest translates through my craft. I’m a true romantic soul who craves human connection like one needs air, and I’m not content with anything less.
Born and bred in New York — New York City inspires me as an artist with all its culture, character, color and charm. With the energy and excitement throughout the City, life in New York is something to be seen, felt and experienced. As a photographer, I love capturing that emotion and energy on camera. Connecting to my subjects. What I see and feel. What they see and feel. Stories through imagery. Most of my work is concentrated on musicians and architecture.
My inspiration and passions in life are found within people, music, books, photography, poetry, philosophy, art, films, world culture, travel and cooking. These all feed my mind, heart, soul and creativity, and are reflected within my work.
Among photographers, I love the works of Robert Doisneau, Jacques-Henri Lartigue, Herb Ritts, Annie Leibovitz, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Sebastião Salgado, João Silva, Robert Capa, Dorothea Lange, Rankin, Willy Ronis, Sebastian Junger and Nick Quested.
Among writers, poets and philosophers, I love the works of Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, William Shakespeare, Rainer Maria Rilke, Maurice Blanchot, Lao Tzu, Rumi, e.e. cummings, Arthur Rimbaud, Marcel Proust, Kurt Vonnegut, Stéphane Mallarmé, Charles Bukowski, W.H. Auden, T. S. Eliot, Carson McCullers, and Tennessee Williams.
